FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about booking, pricing, permits, and vendors in the Greater Sacramento area.

How far in advance should I book a food truck?

Book 3–6 weeks ahead for most Sacramento events. Spring and fall weekends fill fast, so earlier is better for weddings and festivals.

What’s the average price per person?

Most food trucks charge $15–$25 per guest, depending on cuisine and service time. Taco, BBQ, and pizza trucks often have $900–$1,500 minimums.

Do you serve the suburbs?

Yes! We cover Elk Grove, Roseville, Rocklin, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, West Sacramento, and surrounding areas.

Can I book multiple trucks?

Absolutely. We’ll help coordinate timing and spacing for multiple cuisines or dessert add-ons.

How does rain or bad weather affect service?

Most trucks operate rain or shine. Covered service areas or backup indoor plans are recommended for outdoor events.

Do you help with permits?

Yes, we’ll guide you on city or county event permits if required for your venue.

Do vendors pay to join AVFoodTrucks?

No monthly fees. Vendors simply apply, stay verified, and choose events that fit their schedule.
